Integrating sustainability risks into the risk portfolio

Sustainability risks are a widely discussed topic. In general, they represent environmental, social or governance (ESG) events, whose occurrence can have a negative impact on the value of assets as well as on the reputation of a company. Although sustainability risks are not a separate type of risk, they act as cross-cutting risks and thus become an additional essential decision criterion. Accordingly, sustainability risks must also be effectively considered as part of operational risk management.
